In 1983, while living in Venice County, California, she established a retail business, Joan’s Crystals, selling her personal line of stones in over 600 outlets and through a mail-order catalog.
In 1996, Joan moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico, where she established a Web site development company and published a popular e-zine called The E-Commerce Advisor. In 2000, she decided to focus on ProsperityPlace.com and her financial healing work. Her book, Build Your Money Muscles: Nine Simple Exercises for Improving Your Relationship with Money was published in 2006 and serves as a guide for thousands of readers seeking financial comfort. Joan’s other books include Starting Your Own Business, Nourish Yourself for Health & Happiness, and Prosperity Is an Inside Job. Although she no longer produces new episodes, her podcast, The Prosperity Show, still serves a growing audience.
Joan is an active member of the National Organization of Business and Professional Women, Rotary International, the Santa Fe Chambers of Commerce, and the Santa Fe Business Alliance as well as a former member of the National Speakers’ Association. She consults with private and business clients seeking greater comfort with money and a holistic approach to health.
