New Mexico Directory of Natural Healing Offers Wide Range of Information

The newly launched www.NMNaturalHealing.com, a directory of practitioners and businesses, highlights alternative healing resources in New Mexico along with a schedule of events, articles about natural healing techniques, and a comprehensive modalities glossary.

The sophisticated search capability on the site allows visitors to easily find the perfect practitioner, product, or services to meet their needs. In the modalities glossary, they can learn about the benefits of unfamiliar techniques such as acutonics, Watsu, prolotherapy, and hypnobirthing. The techniques are cross-referenced to those providing a particular modality as their primary service. NMNaturalHealing.com represents a wide range of practitioners and businesses from integrative medical doctors, veterinarians, and natural pharmacies to energy healers, massage therapists, feng shui practitioners, and animal communicators.

To those who live in northern New Mexico, the area has long been known as a healing mecca. The state abounds with healers of all kinds, many evolving from ancient native traditions, others intuitively drawn here. In addition, both Albuquerque and Santa Fe have a variety of schools that teach healing arts, including massage, acupuncture, and various energy therapies, and graduates of these schools, enamored by the peaceful lifestyle, often relocate here. Now, for the first time, both locals and tourists alike can easily find and evaluate healing practitioners and businesses that cater to those interested in alternatives to traditional health care techniques.

The site is being promoted with an eye towards branding New Mexico as the major natural healing destination in the U.S. and will be marketed world wide through various tourism channels including the New Mexico Department of Tourism, the Santa Fe Convention & Visitors Bureau, and online travel channels.

A secondary purpose of the site is to help those participants improve their business and financial skills and, starting in May, www.NMNaturalHealing.com will offer support groups and workshops.
