As an acupuncturist, herbalist, and massage therapist, Dianne assists people in their evolution towards better health, on physical, emotional, and spiritual levels. She views Oriental medicine as a proactive and preventative approach to health and well being, as well as a modality that helps people regain balance when disease manifests.

Dianne is a Doctor of Oriental Medicine and a licensed massage therapist. She uses Japanese and Chinese styles of acupuncture, deep tissue massage, as well as Western and Chinese herbs to promote health and well-being.

Dianne begins each session by conducting a review of the body’s flow of Qi (energy) to determine which meridians (rivers of Qi) need attention. She then tailors each treatment to the individual using either Chinese or Japanese styles of acupuncture, and always using a gentle needling technique. She brings a sense of nurturing support to every treatment. Dianne also uses both Western and Chinese herbs to augment the healing process, tailoring the formulas for the individual.

Dianne’s skills in acupuncture and massage provide benefits to many individuals, including those suffering from acute and chronic pain, elder people who wish to have a higher quality of life, and women going through their life transitions.

Here are just some of the health problems that acupuncture and herbs can address:

  • Acute and chronic pain, including back/neck and joints
  • Headaches (including migraines)
  • PMS (cramping, bloating, breast tenderness, mood changes)
  • Peri-menopause and menopause symptoms (hot flashes, irritability, fatigue)
  • High blood pressure
  • Insomnia
  • Anxiety and depression
  • Digestive problems
  • Lowered immunity
  • Chronic disease, including autoimmune disease

Dianne's training in the healing arts began with massage school at East West College in Portland, Oregon. After graduating in 1992, she set up her own massage business and also did massage at The Center for Natural Medicine, both in Portland. She later focused on her studies in Jin Shin Do acupressure with Kamala Quale in Eugene, Oregon. This training in acupressure just whet her appetite for more knowledge of Oriental medicine, and so she decided to attend Southwest Acupuncture College in Santa Fe, graduating in 2004 with a Master’s of Science in Oriental Medicine. Dianne continues to expand her knowledge of both Chinese and Western herbs.

"The Healing Well" reflects Dianne's philosophy of medicine: inside each of us is a “well” of Qi, or life force, that we can draw from. When our “wells” get cracked or muddy, our Qi becomes imbalanced or feels “dried up.” With the tools of acupuncture, massage and herbs, Dianne can help one regain balance and return to health.

Testimonials

"Acupuncture and massage, as applied by Dr. Dianne Weaver, took me from someone who could barely walk into the clinic for treatment back to a normal gaited human.  Muscles along my back unexpectedly locked up while I was prepping myself for work.  Stress won the battle, until Dr. Weaver began a series of acupuncture treatments. My condition noticeably changed after the first week or so. Her treatments broke through the stress and let the chi flow, providing healing that remains today, several months after treatment." - Charmaine C., Santa Fe, NM

"Dr. Dianne Weaver has successfully treated an old back injury for the past two years with acupuncture and massage. My back pain has been dramatically reduced with her continuous help, where other therapies were unsuccessful. I highly recommend Dr. Weaver to anyone seeking a caring and compassionate doctor." - Dr. Patrice H., Santa Fe, NM
