Practitioner Ellen Lowenburg uses Ortho-Bionomy to enhance the body’s normal motion, retraining the body to follow its natural patterns of movement. Working in close connection with her clients, she engages their inner wisdom as a guide to restoring structural balance, normal energy patterns, and freedom of movement. Individuals suffering from chronic and acute pain find relief as their joints and muscles are gently coaxed back into relaxation and normal movement and function is restored.

A practitioner and instructor of Ortho-Bionomy in practice for more than two decades, Ellen’s work helps clients understand the message their body is sending via physical symptoms. Through positional releases, movement, cranial work, isometric and integrative exercises, she helps the body rediscover its natural flow.

Ellen combines Jin Shin Do Bodymind Acupressure with Ortho-Bionomy bodywork to liberate her clients from physical and emotional pain and dysfunction.

Moving Toward Balance

"When we feel accepted as we are, we can let go of the strain of trying to be how we think we should be, and allow our inner wisdom to lead us towards balance." Guided by this philosophy, Ellen works with her clients and the principles of Ortho-Bionomy to release the body and mind and to rediscover the body's natural, healthy condition.

The body is always trying to bring itself back into balance, but the stress and strain of daily life can increase tension and distort normal, free movement. Therapies that work against muscular tightness or displacement can exacerbate symptoms.

Using Ortho-Bionomy bodywork, Ellen gently exaggerates the body's natural movement to release tension. In this way, the body is reminded of where it is in relationship to itself, learning to avoid dysfunctional, problem-causing movement patterns and to rediscover normal, healthy patterns. Additionally, Ellen applies Jin Shin Do Bodymind Acupressure on specific points of the body to provide added relief from additional symptoms.

These therapies can provide relief from the discomfort of:
  • sciatic pain
  • sprained ankles
  • carpel tunnel syndrome
  • neck pain
  • headaches
  • foot pain
  • misaligned ribs
  • insomnia
  • indigestion

Individuals can also achieve greater balance to the hormonal, emotional and nervous systems as a result of Ellen's combined techniques.

Ellen Lowenburg is a New Mexico Licensed Massage Therapist, a Registered Advanced Practitioner of Ortho-Bionomy, and a Registered Instructor of Ortho-Bionomy. She received her Practitioner, Advanced Practitioner and Instructor Of Ortho-Bionomy training from various instructors, including the tutelage of Ortho-Bionomy founder, Arthur Lincoln Pauls, D.O. Ellen has also completed the Jin Shin Do practitioner training to become a Registered Jin Shin Do Acupressurist. She has been helping her clients restore balance to their lives and discover freedom from pain for over 20 years.
