The practitioners at Foot & Ankle Associates take a holistic approach to your health. They start with your feet, which form the foundation of how you move in the world, and include therapies such as acupuncture and massage that build and maintain a healthy energy flow through your entire body/mind. Therapies offered help to avoid or eliminate foot pain, enhance sports performance, and improve overall health.

Serving all of Northern New Mexico, Foot & Ankle Associates offers some unusual services. Each of the three podiatrists is unique.

Dr. Williams and Dr. Blake

Dr. Williams and Dr. Blake

Dr. Edward Williams has over 30 years of experience helping people relieve the dis- comforts and pain of a wide range of foot problems. He is known for his unusually caring manner and the focused attention he gives to his patients.

Dr. William Blake treats the leg from the knee down. Most podiatrists only treat from the ankle to the toes. As a result, many runners and other sports participants count on Dr. Blake to maximize their performance. He has helped many Kenyan runners who train in Santa Fe maintain high rankings as marathoners. Dr. Blake, who worked with an orthopodic group for 3 years, also specializes in treating traumatic injuries.

Dr. George Goodkin is the only podiatrist in New Mexico who is also a licensed Doctor of Oriental Medicine, bringing to the practice a whole-body orientation. There are only four practitioners with this combination of licenses in the United States. Dr. Goodkin uses a state-of-the-art needless device, the Acutron, that combines micro-current, color, and light for acupuncture treatments and non-surgical face lifts.

In addition, a massage therapist is available to serve patients and anyone else who prefers having a massage to relieve pain, stiffness, and stress in the safety of a medical setting.

Testimonials

"Dr. Williams is one of the most compassionate, attentive doctors I have ever known. I admire his talent as a surgeon and his abilities as a podiatrist. My experience with him over a 5-year period has been extremely positive. My feet are more comfortable now than they have ever been before." -- Joan Sotkin, Santa Fe
